We had a very enjoyable couple of days supporting Tinyfish at Riff's and The Peel. Friday's gig was somewhat of a rite of passage, being the first since Rich's accident, and it went down very well. Of course it was also Lee's first outing with the band. On-stage sound was very muddy, but out front it apparently sounded excellent. Saturday was, for several of us, one of our favourite UK gigs to date. On-stage sound was superb, we were all really latched in tight, and the audience were amazing, particularly with the respect shown to the quieter passages of the set. At both gigs we aired two tracks from forthcoming album, Think of the Children - the title track and 1949 - and each received a considerable amount of appreciation.
Next up are appearances at the inaugural Electric Garden Festival and supporting The Reasoning at Bristol's Fleece & Firkin. We'll be mixing up the set a little, bringing back at least one old favourite, as well as giving a first run out to one or more additional tracks from the new album.
Oh, I forgot to mention, Rich and Si will also be performing an acoustic set (no doubt including some AE material) at The Summer Garden Party near Cirencester, on Saturday, June 11th. More info here.
